The German town of Triberg is now designating parking spots for men and women. The parking spots assigned to women are much easier to maneuver compared to the men's, less convenient designated spots. The mayor of Triberg went on to state, "As a rule, men are a little better at such challenges.”
Nonetheless, several studies find that women are indeed better parkers than men. For a British study that came out this year, researchers monitored 2,500 drivers in 700 parking lots in Britain for one month. While women took longer to park, they were more likely to leave their cars in the middle of the spot. Women proved to be better at finding places and more accurate in lining up the car before backing in. Also, they were more likely to use parking strategies recommended by driving instructors.

If someone can't drive worth a damn, they should be off the road, not given a special parking space.
I sometimes try to get into small spots for the challenge. I am a great driver and have never caused an accident- if I could perfect my parallel parking skills I would be completely at ease.
If the decision was made on the basis of the British study, maybe they gave men the harder spaces so they could practice.
But on another note how would they know if its a male or female parked there? Do they have woman stickers like the handicapped ones...?
I'm a woman I can't park and I'm not afraid to admit it!
I have actually abandoned my car in the middle of the street, ran in the house to tell my husband to go park it…the conversation went something along the lines of ..."Go park my car"..."Where is it?" "In the middle of the road"
Im just glad its not in the USA
I almost had a laughing fit when I first saw that.
I think it's kinda retarded. Men are better at parking because if a man can't park his friends are gonna laugh at him.
But some women actually think it's cute that they can't park, thus having no desire to just learn it. *sigh*
Last thing we need is officials validating those stupid stereotypes.
