Looking for a last minute gift? The Los Angeles Times recommends touch-screen-cleaning neckties and T-shirts from Swipe Apparel. The company’s website explains their mission and products like so:
“Swipe Apparel is a designer of unique apparel consisting of unique ties and premium tees targeted at the high tech aficionado. Our neckties and T-shirts have an integrated microfiber fabric designed to clean smartphones and other touchscreen devices. SwipeTies are made of 100% imported silk while SwipeTees are made from 100% ringspun cotton so you can be assured of the highest quality. Our clothing comes in multiple styles and colors to fit any mood or occasion. Whether it’s the perfect business tie for work like our Ferrell SwipeTie or a casual attire for the beach like our SwipeTee-Earth, we have the apparel you need to look your best.”
Stylish and practical. Relatively affordable—S39.99 for the SwipeTie and $24.95 for a SwipeTee. Sounds like a sure win. There are also a variety of options to choose from in terms of color and patterns, as well as the placement of the cleaning cloth.
What do you think SodaHeads? Are Swipe Apparel’s SwipeTies and SwipeTees awful or amazing?

Hmmm, I may now have a better use for those boxes and boxes full of ties I have put back other than as quilting pieces. :-)
I would imagine they are great for glasses too - not that any company is going to bother marketing as such with society fighting so hard to say we should all wear contacts or get surgery.
There is one problem I have - calling $24.95 for a t-shirt affordable. Or $39.99 for a tie, for that matter. I have several ties - all look great and all under $20. I have NEVER paid more than $20 for a T-shirt.
Why not.
Not a bad price for a tie. Steep for a tee.
Pack of Hanes for 9.99.
