Too old to rock?

Mel 2012/04/13 21:06:40
How old is to old to rock? I'm 54 and still listen to Heavy Metal groups, and I DJ at a Gothic club, spinning hard Industrial groups, like Combichrist, Wumpscut, Faderhead and others. I will be going to the KISS/Motley Crue concert tour this year.

My friends are like: 'man aren't you just too old for this"? When they turn on the Celine Dion, soft hits, John Tesh, Michael Bolton, or Harry Connick & Cher Jr, I need a sickbag! Please! Give me Ozzie or give me deafness! Give me Metallica, Led Zeppelin,, the Stones, Henry Rollins, Green Day, or the Industrial bands.

Has anyone ever told you, you need to change your style just because you got older? Gene Simmons of KISS just turned 62, Ozzie is 60! Are they ready for "rocking chair music" yet?
You!

You are never too old to listened to music that gets you moving. While I do not like heavy Metal, I do like a lot of the new modern stuff that come out today. I am 63.

I'm Gothic and that goes back to the late 70's BTW, I'd like to set flame to every disco record that came out, and would have made out an arrest warrant for the BeeGees. *LOL*
