ok, i know im not as rich as crazy Cruise but Im so confident that I have the greatest style!

This amazes me about some people. There are people who just know what works, what's cool, what to wear and how to wear it, how to accessorize, how to wear their hair, and most importantly, how to act stylish. There is an attraction to them. They always have friends begging for their time, they are active and lively without ever seeming silly or going too far. I don't know what the essential ingredient for being that way is, but if I could bottle it, I'd soon be very rich.

Of course she's born with style, you're her father dumbass lol. If you can afford to buy all of the expensive ass clothes for your kid, you'll never see them being dressed other than "stylish".

Your parents pick your clothes when you're young, and even if you get to choose, your parents pick the stores. Would a kid be so "stylish" if her parents could only afford to shop at a thrift store?

Besides, "style" is subjective. Most fashion is just trendy, and any kid with eyes can see what the cool kids are marketing on TV.

To further the point, style technically doesn't even exist.... it is entirely CULTURAL. It is very rare a person actually wears what they want to wear... it's all about what society thinks and monkeys mimicking each other in order to fit in with whatever group they prefer.

Depends on what his definition of style is. If it's dressing fancy because your parents have a lot of money then that's not style it's money. But, it's not unusual for any parent to think their child has something special, it's human nature.....

It's not genetic, it's how you're groomed. Of course, some people can develop an individual sense of style overtime. Like everything else, fashion can look good on some, but not others.

Yes, I believe people can be born with an innate sense of style. I myself have always been a fashionista for as far back as I can remember. I read this particular article, where proud poppa Tom Cruise said that his daughter, Suri, was "born" with style, and he went on to say that she often picks out clothes for him and mom Katie Holmes to wear. I don't know that I'd take a five-year-old's fashion advice so completely, but it's sort of cute. I can remember when my son was around that age, my ex-husband and I dressed up for a Halloween party as a pimp and a prostitute, respectively. My kid told me that he thought I looked "beautiful." Therefore, if I'd taken style tips from my son back then, I would have dressed like a tramp 24/7/365!

Don't get me wrong she's a beautiful little Girl and of course Tom Cruise is proud of his daughter so alot of Parents will say those kinda things. But i wouldn't say that she was born with style it's like saying you can be born Gay or Lesbian ( No you have a choice whether or not you want to be that sexuality ) . She's is only stylish becuase how her parents dress her at the momment, and when she is older she will become more stylish ;') becuase she can then choose what she wants too wear.

Although I do think that a parent has a big influence over their "style" choice. Would Suri still be as stylish if her parents weren't wealthy and had to shop at Walmart? Maybe.

Her shopping allowance is $150.000 a year so I guess with that kind of foolish spending on a little girls outfits while the rest of Americans are losing their jobs and homes, I find it in poor taste that Mr.Cruise has the gall to make such a statement.

I know they are wasting money for stupid things that she is going to grow out of quick. Kids grow quick they should be spending that money on something usefull but Suri will have everything and she dont even know how to use it. In the end it will break, be lost, or thrown away. It is completely outrageous how unbalance the allocation of money is in our society.
Why should entertainers and athletes get paid such extreme salaries but people like teachers get paid so little.
Sad, truly sad I think.

I know Teachers should get paid more. From them our kids know how to write, read and speak even. I think Teachers should be rewarded more often. Imagine those entertainers and athletes wouldnt even know how to sign their signatures if it wasnt for their teaches to teach them how.

And what she wears can set fashion for millions of upwardly mobile parents of preschool girls around the world. That is not a bad thing. She is a cutie. But also the most photographed preschooler on the planet.

Some people make clothes look good and another person can be wearing the same thing and look like a mess. Who knows why this is, but maybe that's what he's talking about.
