I like the flavor of shellfish, and I don't think I'm allergic, but I never feel all that good after eating it. The other week I ate a crab sandwich, it was great, really fresh and tasty. The next morning I felt all heavy, like my body weight had doubled, and I had a lot of little aches and pains. The experience reminded me why I usually avoid shellfish.

Japanese slipper lobster, Dungeness crab, scallops, shrimp, oysters on the shell, roasted on the BBQ, clams, sushi and sashimi, Opihi, Salmon, flounder, rock cod, black cod(butter fish), barricuda, mahimahi, Tuna, papio, Uhu, Many others. All are wonderful, unless you have an allergy to them.

I like shrimp but I don't care for lobster or oysters. I will eat fried clams but not steamed. So I guess I'm not really a fan of shell fish.

I have always loved shellfish. I love the Chesapeake Bay Blue crabs and Lobster in Maryland and Virginia. And I love Dungeness crab in the Pacific Northwest. Crab legs? I throw those away.

They have a relatively simple physiology and it kills them fast. Also, you could impale it to kill it beforehand...or just get a dead one.
