The term "best" implies just one and I have one friend from my youth who is closer than a brother, though we don't talk enough. I have several very good and long time friends, but I'm not the easiest person to get to close to. I'm friendly with most people, but content with my own company.

I have one best friend for life though...I mean this literally. She is my pillar of support and we can't stand when the other is upset, it throws off both of our moods. We both have a sense of humor, responsibility, kindness, openmindness, acceptance, and so much more. :] She's my best friend, i love her, and I wish she was my sister instead of my real one. lol

I have a few best friends that I HOPE will continue being my best friends till the end of my days... And then I have that one 'true' best friend that I KNOW will be there with me till the end of my days. There's just this difference. Though I love all of them... she's just different. I'd take a bullet for her and I know she'd take a bullet for me.
