It's not about hygiene LOL. Men don't shave their armpits or legs or crotches and no one calls them unhygienic.
Honestly, during the winter I rarely shave my legs. It's freaking cold and the more coverage my skin has the better. :-)

Ten years ago, Julia Roberts turned heads at the premiere for her film "Notting Hill" when onlookers realized that the pretty woman hadn't shaved her armpits.
Needless to say, it didn't exactly catch on.
But just this week, paparazzi caught the 42-year-old actress at the beach reprising her 1999 look with a smile.
She told The Daily Mail, "The secret ingredient of beauty is being happy. And maybe a little eye cream." Of course that means, according to Roberts, armpit shaving is optional.
On the other hand, we have women like Kim Kardashian who proudly swear on full body laser hair removal -- a searingly painful procedure -- to tame their body hair. She told Allure in August, "I am Armenian, so of course I am obsessed with laser hair removal! Arms, bikini, legs, underarms ... my entire body is hairless."
There are plenty of reason for women to shave their armpits, some practical and some societal, but not many people flaunt their body hair as proudly as Roberts. Some women say it's more comfortable, some would rather not have their image dictated by popular culture while some may just not feel like shaving every day.

I have noticed that PEOPLE tweak their hygiene in direct coorelation to whether they are with someone or not,.. and what that persons likes and dislikes are.
Saying that to say that I'm not going to run screaming from a woman with hair - After all it wasn't like she chose where hair will grow.
I just require her to be clean.
Peace.
should women have to shave down there though cuz i hate it when guys keep telling girls there freaks cuz they choose not to shave there area
And for those of you who say I'm just acting like I don't care how I look and that I'm the worst of them all because I'm faking who I really am to look like some kind of caring-about-real-stuff rebel? Good for you. Actually, I really DON'T care what you think.
Majority of women in the world don't shave their armpits. Western people, specially Hollywood and Americans have created wrong notions about hairy armpits. Just one or two centuries ago no woman used to shave armpits and it didn't raise any eyes. If every women stop shaving, it will become a natural sight after a decade or two and no one will bother then.
