I notice that you have a very strange way of interpreting scripture. First of all "dogs" were UNBELIEVERS to the Hebrews. Jesus was "testing" her faith and blessed her greatly for it in Matthew.

I have read the bible many times over, and I have read every single one of these versus, in context, at least 4 times. I know full well what it is, do not insult my intelligence by my age and what most people my age act like. I am not talking about the mitzvot thing, I have no care in that.

Yes we have the early manuscripts of many books of the bible. Did you ever hear of the dead sea scrolls? In comparison to the versions we have now only minor word changes are noted. Nothing that would change any tenet of our faith.

Following the thread of your post, I come to the conclusion you are either an extremely sexist person, a master of sarcasm or a perfect example of the damage Christian theology has wreaked on the western mind.
If there is any guilt and responsibility for this fiasco you describe, it was the lack of omniscience, omnipotency and compassion shown by the creating being. This is called setting someone up for failure. Make an imperfect being, give them a choice then punish them forever for making the wrong choice. Nice God you got yourself there. I bet this is the same kind of God that would send his own son to die painfully for failing to correct the mistakes He made during creation.

I think I agree with most of what you said. Unfortunately the lack of desire for people on SH to use grammar does make deep conversations difficult--no offense intended, but I have also heard of interpretations that Lucifer was trying to help man who was being kept in ignorance by a less than loving God.

If you go around these polls or check out my profile you will see that I do not shove my beliefs upon others. Who am I to do so? I am a Christian & I believe God's word, even each of us Christian's take different things from the Bible, based on how it feels to them.

I had a fellow Christian tell me sometime earlier this wk that I am not of God & He is not in me. So, for anyone out there that thinks those sort of people only prey on non-believers, that's not true. Those who for whatever reason believe they are holier than thou will be just as nasty & extreme as I've had non-believers be to me.

It matters none to me what others think of me or my beliefs, all that matters is what I know & what I feel but in the midst of that no, I am not going to point fingers. I am not any better than the next person...I haven't the right.

Nope. I am using the bible to prove a point; many Christian women ignore the attacks against them in the bible but utilize the bible to attack alternative lifestyles. According to the bible women can not take part of assembly--politics--this would exclude Palin and Bachmann from even being politicians in the first place, yet they quote the bible to say that they can use government force to push their religious beliefs on others.

The next time your "fellow" Christian says you are not saved, have him read Romans 10:9-10.
