Australian Billionaire, Clive Palmer, is investing a large chunk of his fortune to build the Titanic II. The ship will be a replica of the original Titanic, with some obvious safety upgrades. The ship will also offer an additional deck and a casino.
Just a few weeks after The Titanic's 100th anniversary of sinking ship, Palmer made his 'titanic' announcement. He said in a statement, "It will be every bit as luxurious as the original Titanic, but ... will have state-of-the-art 21st-century technology and the latest navigation and safety systems."

For as long as I can remember, I have been intrigued with the Titanic and its story. I used to write short stories about the doomed ship for nearly all of my school assignments. I liked to read anything that had to do with the "Unsinkable Ship." (for the record, though, no one actually thought that the Titanic was unsinkable. People just added that part in later to make the story more interesting. At the time, it was thought to be so big that it was "nearly unsinkable")
The rich really must be smarter than us!
That sinking brought about change in that now safety concerns are of paramount importance. Of course the problem is still with us today in that all cruise ships are still run by people and people can and often do make major mistakes.
I think this time however, the new Titanic will indeed be much better prepared.
