Australian Billionaire, Clive Palmer, is investing a large chunk of his fortune to build the Titanic II. The ship will be a replica of the original Titanic, with some obvious safety upgrades. The ship will also offer an additional deck and a casino.

Just a few weeks after The Titanic's 100th anniversary of sinking ship, Palmer made his 'titanic' announcement. He said in a statement, "It will be every bit as luxurious as the original Titanic, but ... will have state-of-the-art 21st-century technology and the latest navigation and safety systems."

TRAVELERSTODAY.COM reports:
An Australian billionare, Clive Palmer, who announced last month that he is building a replica of the Titanic to set sail in 2016, has recently released new details of the ship. He said that the vessel will have a new safety deck featuring proper lifeboats and safety slides and chutes.

First off did they fix the issues with the safety walls only going up halfway, did they fix all the other flaws in the new design that help sink the old one, and will they have enough lifeboats this time around? Secondly I think calling the ship Titanic II is a little disrespectful to those who perished on the first one and the descendants of the survivors of that fateful day. Third it seems a little bit of tempting fate to name a ship after and build it based on designs of one that went down due to poor engineering designs, one that its famous builders/owners famously declared as ''unsinkable and even God couldn't sink it'', and had it's sister ships sink as well. So I might tour it but I'm not staying on it.

Besides, you can't afford a cruise. Better hurry and board the boat you came over here on before it sinks in November!

We were discussing boat trips, and entirely nonpolitical topic, and then WHAM-BANG! your anti-Obama indoctrination kicked in. Someone did a top notch job of brainwashing you, didn't they!

Most people are willing to say no, but the reason the Titanic sunk was because the lack of binoculars and the reason so many died was because the lack of safety boats. If they had enough safety boats, there would probably be so many fewer deaths. I'll go in it as long as they have all those things. I'm ready for that, and I think it'll be awesome. I truly think nothing bad will happen, but maybe the Titanic was cursed and so will Titanic II. Hey, am I the only one who has figured this out? Ti rhymes with Die and Tanic rhymes with Panic. Anyone?

Well your comment kind of implied you "learned your lesson the first time." If someone tells me to jump off a cliff and I say, "No way, I learned my lesson the first time," doesn't that make you assume I had previously jumped off of a cliff??

heck not, not unless the walls are higher. they went half way with those walls, if they spent more and put the wall all the way up, the boat would not have sunk
