Years ago, a woman named Tipper Gore and the Parents Music Resource Center decided that we had to mark every album that is potentialy dangerous for our children.
Since then, kids were supposed to have less ´´dangerous music`` in their ears and heads, but is it so?
Actually, the Tipper Sticker serves more as a promotional sticker instead of a protective sticker.
And this started when she cought her daughter listening to Darling Nikki by Prince.
So far so good, were´s the problem? Oh ya, almost forgot: Pop is the least controled genre. It attack´s mainly Metal, Rock and Rap. They think that danger only comes when you have profanity, when actually loads of pop records have constant sexual mentions.
Furthermore, BIG MISTAKES have been made:
Jay-Z self-censord his lyric´s in a live album. Still he receives a sticker.
Frank Zappa made a INSTRUMENTAL ALBUM called Jazz from Hell, it received the sticker because of the name of a song: G-Spot Tornado. It received a sticker saying EXPICIT LYRIC´S(Please notice that it was an instrumental album).

Unfortunately, it also proved that government is largely ineffective in actually DOING anything to protect us.

All Tipper's efforts did was point kids in the right direction of which music their parents would hate the most.
