Thoughts of a Dead Atheist

Radical Ed 2012/08/19 15:15:35
a short film about an atheist who arrives in hell for his beliefs.
There, he meets the Devil with whom he makes a wager playing chess
meanwhile engaging in a discourse about the existence of God and the
nature of Heaven and Hell.

I can see how someone who believes in God, would eat this crap up. But it doesn't change the fact that they are believing in a book which provides not the slightest bit of proof of it's reality. "None are so hopelessly enslaved, as those believe they are free." What a beautifully circular-logic-based statement. So, what? are none of us free? If so, is there no value in the PURSUIT of freedom? I believe there is. Those who believe in God, are absolutely and undeniably enslaved to the laws of their religion, and blinded to any and all knowledge and discovery, which contradict those laws, and the ridiculous claims made within the Bible. We free-thinkers are at least searching for freedom, and knowledge. That we've stopped looking for it in the Bible, is not because we are narrow-minded; but because we've already looked there; and most of what we've found has been discredited.

    "Which god?"
"The one you didn't believe in."

Ummm....atheists don't believe in any gods. Could you narrow it down a bit?

Someone should make a freethinker's parody about this with the title "Thoughts of a Dead Christian," where a Christian dies to find out that Hades was the right God, and he was denying the all-powerful Zeus, who loved him, and wanted him to accept Him into his heart. No one would find it as inspiring as this, even though it's only trading in one unproven belief with another. However, it's all equally offensive under most political standards. The only difference is that the atheist group is a minority that gives people entitlement to openly condescend.

Just what IS the "True Word of GOD"?? Certainly not the Bible which was written centuries after the fact from fragments of stone tablets and Papyrus, as well as "interpretations" of several different ancient languages, then rewritten, re-interpreted and "re-adjusted" to fit the opinion of the Emperor or King who was having the work done! "VERSIONS" of "GODS Word"?? How can there be different "versions"??

When a guy, looking billions of years old floats up to me and say's "Boy, let me tell you what..." Then I might believe. Billions of years....hmmm, I wonder where HE came from....space dust?...an Amoeba....? Jeez, he couldn't just ...appear from NOTHING! HE also had to have a "beginning...didn't he??

And the Devil?? Oh, yeah, he was just a "johnny-come-lately"...fallen angel...it says here in this here book that was written by......lets see, what "version" is this??
