We've been known to pay a little more than we should on a T-shirt, but $400,000? How is this even possible?
A website called The Most Expensive T-shirt in the World is selling a tee for 400K, CNBC reports. Why so many zeroes, you wonder? The shirt's manufacturers say it's made from 100 percent organic cotton (right, but you can get that for like $20). They also claim the manufacturing process uses only renewable energy, like wind and solar, slashing the shirt's carbon footprint by 90 percent. The Earth-friendly process means it takes four weeks to make one shirt.
Still, it doesn't really add up -- until you learn that there are 16 diamonds sewn into the tee, weighing in at nine carats. Cruelty-free diamonds, we wonder? And what if you spill a cup of coffee on yourself? The tees have a one-year warranty, but "improper use, accidental damage, loss and theft are not covered by the policy."
We don't know what's worse: this T-shirt, or this $1,085 H. Lorenzo cat purse that uses gray rabbit fur, according to Yahoo! Shine:
The cat purse is definitely more hideous, but we'd have to sell our home to by that T-shirt ... which, from far away, pretty much looks like any old T-shirt ...
