What a wonderful, humble man he was. I am reading the gospel of St John now.
This Sunday is extra special as our curate gets ordained and will be giving her first communion.

The foreshadow of Christ. Actually it was pointed out at mass that of all the saints John the Babtist's feast is on his birthday and not his death. There are only three birhtdays the catholic Church celebrates. Christ's, Blessed Virgin mary, and John the Babtist.
