Luckily I do. I haven't had one more episode since I was diagnosed 4 1/2 years ago. :) Maybe tiny ones, like a kiddy roller coaster, but nothing that made me feel bad. I don't mind the good high's where you feel good. LOL At least I'm not on the deathtifying roller coasters anymore! :)

If it's that deep-in depth, then it's really a blessing that they now offer some relief with medications and therapy.

You are exactly right. I'm so happy we figured out what was going on with me and I'm treated now. Ever since I've been treated for bipolar, and not just anxiety, I have been fine. No huge overcoming manic swings that make you feel like you are going mad. It really over takes you and you can't sleep a wink and then you really start to get messed up. I use to listen to this song thinking I just want the water to take me over. Or something to happen just to stop it.

Well that's good that you've been helped to a place where you're fine. I just don't like the "end it all" lyrics of the song, too drastic. All the rest is good though.

It is very drastic but that is how you feel. Not that you want to die, but you want the pain and confusion to stop. It really takes you over like a drug. But then I guess in a way it is, because it's a chemical imbalance in the brain. You do want to end it all...all the pain.

I have a relative that has been diagnosed with it. I have seen the highs and lows of it, just didn't know that they felt like they were sometimes going that low. Everybody has to keep standing up to it. Thanks for modern medicine is all I can say...

I just wanted to clarify that when I said "Everybody has to keep standing up to it", it was in reference to not resorting to drastic steps. I realize that willpower has no effect on chemical imbalances.
