I said no because the only entity that ever "simplifies" taxes or tax forms is the government and every time the government "simplifies" something it gets more complex.

Of course! It's intrusive and other than maybe three deductions like mortgage, kids & college it should be Flat! A Business would get maybe 5? Depreciation on capital equipment, employee healthcare, a viable period of loss.....? Flat! Easy! More devoted to REAL life and Real Productivity!

Why am I as a businessman allowed to deduct my and Senator Rotten Crotches lunch or tickets to a ballgame?

Straight across the board, 10-20 percent, no refunds, no waivers, no exceptions.

Kind of hard to imagine paying taxes when you're trying to buy food on poverty level wages, not that I'm making excuses, but those one percenters I'm thinking could do something more to help than their already overwhelming tax breaks for being rich......
