I know u r an atheist ....... so I shall try & keep this from going into a sermon! :)
Because, although he is at least 10% correct ........ We aren't in that phase of God's plans - "YET".
Are we close? Yup - u bet, however;
Some people have the misconception that God is going to rain fire & brimestone when he comes - when the complete opposite is tru!
Fact of the matter is, is these type of people elude to the fact that Jesus himself said ----- NO SUCH THING! As a matter of fact, he said that the end of the world will come like a thief in the night.
To put it simply, my dear ---- take the world as it is now. And multiply its worsening weather, world economic problems that make todays look like kids play, new dieases that can't be cured - and make the black plague look like a bad case of the cold, increased falling away from the faith (people still going to church - just dont believe in God any more), and so on and so forth.
Let all that stew for a few years - then add in a charasmatic world leader who'll make Adolf Hitler look like Obama, and he'll do works of wonders - like no other man, decieveing MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of people all around the world. And he will eventually set-up his image in Jerusalem for all to visit & pay...
