I live in tornado alley. I do not fear tornadoes, but I have a healthy respect for them. My daughter and I are both county storm spotters. I was out earkuer tonight watching the sky. A tornado formed near the lake while we were out. We didn't spot it though. spotters earkuer tonight watching sky tornado formed lake spot Tornados

Yeah sure in Hawaii there are hardly any active volcanoes besides Kilauea on the Big Island but its still a scary thought if one of them just starts up again on Oahu. I dont want to be burnt alive. looks and probably feels very painful :(

Or tsunami. Water can be a pretty strong, relentless, destructive force that goes WHEREVER it pleases. And I'm not fond of the idea of drowning.

I'd have to go with earthquakes because they cant be predicted. Most other natural disasters you usually have enough time to prepare for

The chance of any of those happening in my area are remote, though I will never say never. I think the one that would scare me more is a severe earthquake because there would be little or no warning..

it would be dramatic if they all happened at the same time. That would be scarey and send a profound signal.

of course this picture does not even cover my point since i would be killed if a cute cat wanted me to be.

We had a tornado on Christmas morning when I was six years old my little brother was three. I remember my father and my older brother were not at home but they made it home later after the storm and having to walk through a water stream. The next morning we all got up and walked around the farm to survey the damage. We did not have any, but our neighbors did. But I remember my mother, little brother, and me cuddling in a corner of the house and my mother praying and explaining that God was in the storm. My heart goes out to all those people who had damage and experienced the tornado a few weeks ago,

That sounds very frightening. It is always feels better once the wind has gone, but the aftermath can be heartbreaking. I still do not like the wind. I know hurricanes are worse. They bring wind and water in great force.
    Glad we made it.
