My family is in the oil and gas business, have been since the late 1800's in one way or another. More oil and gas is being produced with better technology.

I am also a proponant of alternative energy, but for different uses. It will be a long time before something as perfect as the internal combustion engine comes along.

I say this because the people who oppose the oil industry will do so until they get a taste of what living without he-.... Sorry I forgot that most of these people (at least from what I've seen) reside in the warm south where winters are not that bad...
