You've probably heard the old adage that when it comes to figuring out how "young" you should date, you apply the formula, "half your age plus seven." So, if you're 26, it's perfectly OK for you to date a 20-year-old ... but not an 18-year-old. Well, How About We applied that formula to rumored couple Lana Del Rey and Axl Rose. She is 25 and he is 50. According to this formula, the youngest woman Axl Rose should be dating is 32. Sorry, Lana.

To find out what the oldest age you should date is, take your current age, subtract 7, and multiply it by 2. So, at 25, the oldest person Lana should date would be 36. Axl Rose is 14 years too old for her!

We'll always have a soft spot for Axl Rose, so we kind of get why Lana would be interested. But according to How About We, she should not go older than 36-year-olds like, say, rapper 50 Cent (hey, it could happen!). Meanwhile, Axl could get away with dating Jennifer Love Hewitt (again, it could happen!). Do you believe in the age range formula? Or is age only a number when it comes to love?

I ma Fifty & I just did the formula. I got the number 86. eerrr Not right.But I do feel 40.But I would put the number for a young girl around the mid twenties. I have not seen to many 50 year olds that I would date.

For someone like me, it works... 19 / 2 = 9.5 and 9.5 + 7 = 16.5.

But what if you're 100? 100 / 2 = 50 and 50 + 7 = 57.

I don't want to see a 100 year old holding hands with a 57 year old boy/girlfriend.

If I was single, I would note that Sandra Bullock is 23 years my junior. I would then argue that a 23 year age difference is no big deal!

INDIVIDUAL RESULTS may vary! Its good to see that AXL ROse has finally come out of hiding! Where did the guy go for all those years? they were a hit, (his band) and then, just quiet....... will they get back together? If the chemistry is there....and intelligence...and the parents n friends like ya! (huge factor!)go with it!

it's really not a big deal. now i can see if she was a 25 year old dating a 90 year old. (how can people do that) or maybe under 18 and dating someone that age but i guess it's all good.

For me too young would be my oldest son's age, 24! So if I applied the formula, 46/2 + 7 = 30. That might even be to young?

There should still be some common sense used.
When the age difference is too great there are usually 'gold diggers' and 'dirty old men' are involved.

It is so interesting. In fact, we love someone, we don't care about the age. The dating age range formula can be used for fun. In my opinion, it is nothing. I don't believe in this.

If it works for them, it really doesn't matter, provided it's legal. There are marriages that work with big age differences, as long as they can find common ground. I generally think it requires the younger person being relatively mature, and/or the older person remaining young at heart.

So, I'm 12.
Oldest: 12-7=5 5*2=10 (?)
Youngest: 12/2= 6 6+7= 13

So, the youngest person I should be dating is 13, and the oldest is 10. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight, okkkkkayyy theeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn...

Wow, that does explain why my women keep getting younger! It is a little off, though. The last girl I lived with was a just a couple of years older than the formula suggests.

sorry i don't care what age you are,3 years older is the farthest you should go ,that's like 45 year old going out with a 60 year old. age isn't a damn number,watch your gonna see 16 year olds hooking up with 30 yr olds smh.
