Just 2 small words.
That carry so much weight.
Today we celebrate our Independence. But we all realize that we wouldn't have this if it weren't for the sacrifices of so many of our military personnel and their families.
There are many days that I lament having such a small house. It's only 1000 sq feet. Today I stopped myself. Instead, I looked at what all I do have.
A sturdy, brick house
Electricity
Air conditioning
Heat
Running water
My son
My big screen tv
My laptop
My son's laptop
My dog
His 30 lb bag of food
3 different kinds of cereal
Snacks
A box of wine
Cold beer for friends who stop by
Friends who stop by
Then I remember: It could all be gone in a flash. And it's because of our service men, women and families that I have all that I have.
Today, it's not about being a conservative or liberal.
Today, it's not about who you support in the election.
Today it is about saying THANK YOU.
Please leave a note of thanks, appreciation or any positive words.
Do not bring politics
Do not bring hate
