- Authorities say a 13-year-old Ohio boy accused of making threats against teachers and classmates had two rifles and 400 rounds of ammunition when he was arrested in Dayton, Tenn.
The boy, identified as Calvin Riley, was taken into custody Wednesday night after calling his parents in Norwalk, Ohio, and saying he wanted to surrender.
Police think the teen took a rifle from home and a pickup truck from a neighbor's house. Authorities in Tennessee say the teen told officers the other rifle was in the truck when he drove off in it.

Even though I do not condone his actions I must say that leaving the state to keep himself from following through on his threat was a good choice on his part. But then this is just my opinion.View thread

According to one report, he told a friend he was going to live off the land. Is it possible he intended to use the rifles for say, hunting?! Not to mention the small fact that he drove from northern Ohio to eastern Tennessee. That seems like someone who is running away from the people around them, not plotting to kill them. I'm willing to bet he could have driven to his school without getting so lost he ended up two states away. Not only that, if he could hit someone with a .22 from 450 miles away, he needs to be put in the Marine sniper school right now; as an instructor.
From what I've read, this is a young teenager who couldn't handle whatever problems were going on in his life and ran away. Evidently, that story wasn't sufficiently dramatic for the media types, so as usual they had to spin it like a top on crack. If there is viable evidence that he was planning to shoot anything human, I'd like to see that report. Until then, this seems like just another case of media slant.
Another save the children. Evil comes in all formes. Turn the other cheek. Live and let live. You do the math. Bye: Adam Troy
I doubt if this kid cared about politics at all. I can't explain why all these kids are doing this stuff - adults are doing it too as a matter of fact - just blow away everyone whether you know them or not. However, in the vast majority of cases, I doubt politics has a lot to with it.
So, please, Obamabashers, get over it already and let's stay on topic.
