The future is here! In cases you haven't heard, the development of robotic taxis are on the making. This new technology will work like a phone booth. You go to the nearest taxi station, summon a robotic taxi, input your destination, and it will take you there in a special road just for robotic taxis to avoid traffic. Sorta like the show Futurama.

with GPS and all the sensors the can put into vehicles now it is just a short jump to these taxi's, probably only the unions are holding it back

Sounds like an easily exploitable way for people to get robbed, kidnapped or worse. Robotic Taxi's eh? Kind of Creepy, but it's the obvious direction of the future.

Great show, but I don't think so. However, I'm sure Matt Groening, read Philip K. Dick's: "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale," published in April 1966 (which the Movie "Total Recall" is based upon) and transformed it into the madness he does so well!

Glad that you pointed out the "Total Recall" robot taxi and its origin. I think HG Wells and DaVinci probably invented or spoke of it, decades ago.

Matt Groening is pretty wiley isn't he...not just funny, but planted some ideas there. Brilliant....but how long until it is really out there? Like flying cars in the Jetsons? Haven't seen those around yet.

No! I remember another movie called Total Recall, Arnold the Gov.was the star.when he was on the run in the movie he flaged down a cab called Johnnycab and he was a robot. Anything is possiable?
