TANNING BEDS, OR suntanning outside.....does it keep away acne by drying out the skin without using excessive medications or other products without having to change your eating habits? (any dermatologists out there?)

I don't know I am not out in the sun that often without sunblock as I get water blisters if I'm in the sun too long :(

no...tanning just causes skin cancer. The best way to prevent acne is by keeping skin clean, using an oil free moisturizer, and using a salycilic acid acne medication.

Not a dermatologist, but I believe for one, that diet and foods have little to do with this condition. Stress may be more of a contributing factor. The sun does seem to have a positive effect for some people, but the consequences of over-exposure to the sun or tanning beds will be a bigger problem down the line.

In moderation I believe that. If you don't you won't be worrying about acne, it will be melanoma instead.

Well I cannot speak to the difference between tanning beds and suntanning outside.., but I can tell you this.., sun dried fruits tends to make me think neither is a wise thing to do.., the benefit just dose not seem to out weigh the risk.

I tend to think I wouldn't be so cheap and just cough up the price of the product "Proactive acne treatment.. Actually.., I think if the government would consider changing the name of tanning to " Sun Prune".., I think maybe people would rethink this behavior...I'm just saying...JOMO

The only thing I know to keep away acne is to wash with plain hot water, (opens & cleans the pores) and then again with plain cold water, (closes the pores)
Tanning beds however eliminate the insect problem.

I've never been in a tanning bed but I do know that after a sunburn my skin clears up pretty good.
