Taliban commander Hafiz Gul Bahadur in Northwest Pakistan threatened the health and lives of Pakistani children to get President Obama to stop his drone strikes in Pakistan, which President Obama's administration admitted to in April 2012.

"Polio drops will be banned in North Waziristan until the drones strikes are stopped... Almost every resident of North Waziristan has become a mental patient because of the drone strikes, which are worse than polio... On one hand, the U.S. spends millions of dollars to eliminate polio, while on the other hand it kills hundreds with the help of its slave, Pakistan."

CNN Reports:A Taliban leader in northwest Pakistan announced a ban on polio vaccines for children as long as the U.S. continues drone strikes.

This is just the latest example of the Taliban's willingness to use the civilian population as hostages to hide behind in an attempt to protect themselves. They've been known to attack UN forces from civilian houses knowing full well that they would retaliate then the Taliban would complain about the UN/Americans killing innocent civilians.

I'd like to think that there's a special place in hell for people who use such despicable tactics.

Duhhhhh... Its not up to the Taliban to decide on who gets what medications.... Pakistan is still run by a President... OR that's what we thought........ Since they hid OSAMA BIN LADEN from the USA for so long that president could be nothing but a puppet... Somewhat like what many are beginning to believe about the one sitting in the HOT SEAT here in the USA

This commander should be the next target. It is disgusting that he would use the Pakistan children in an attempt to blackmail the US. What he should be doing is agreeing to talks with the US to determine how this war should end. As long as the Taliban remains a threat to the rest of the world they should be pressured into doing the right thing, not only for the rest of the world, but for their own people. Sadly this will never happen until there is no more left to fight! And the real losers are the Pakistan people.

Funny how everyone is saying, "Oh they're such bad people", yet you guys are saying nuke the middle east. That's making us into more of monsters than they are. Puts us at risk for another country with nukes to nuke us. Point is it's not only Obama's choice in the matter, it falls onto the shoulders of the government and military leaders. Obama is not a king, he is a president. Not saying we should obey the commands, I just think we shouldn't be ignoring what they're doing.

I checked its profile & it claims to be Christian. Of course these conservatives have their own Bible. They can't stand seeing verses that include the word liberal. It's funny cuz God is so fond of that word you can find it all over the Bible in both the Old & New Testament.
