I think it's gross. I will admit, I did it when I was younger. But I stopped as I grew up. I do remember my mom telling me once, that if you peed in the pool, the water would turn dark blue, and you could instantly tell who peed.

I think it's disgusting an adult can't get out of a pool and use the bathroom. Kids are a different story. If you're drinking alcohol, especially beer, it goes right through you and you probably shouldn't be in a pool anyway (if you've consumed a lot for you).
I admit I've done it when I was younger, but not for a long time. We all reach a point where we finally grow up, I hope. It is hard, thinking you don't have to pee, then get in the cold water and guess what, you can't wait to go. I hate when that happens!

Yes and that is one of the reason why there is a continuous Chlorination process that takes place to prevent it from becoming a poo pond....

As a swimming coach in my early days (started as a professional swimmer at age 5) we saw many doing this and there were slips too... Many kids especially did both jobs in the pool and all of us had to get out and run to shower and wait till the pool was cleaned. It meant no training session on the day... One of the pools we used to train in was banned for unhygienic conditions until the got an excellent water treatment system and cleaning agents in the water alongside discipline that anyone caught going stuff in the pool would have to pay for the cleaning and it worked. Tests were done just everyday for the consistency of chlorine levels and water cleanliness.
One of the pools we used to swim in also had whole lot of frogs mating and reproducing in the pool, and I had come for my training session, saw this and I ran for my dear life until they certified it was clean. It was a school swimming pool...

I used to swim at a public pool every day for 20 years with a swimming buddy. It was really good for stress and swimming laps for a mile really releases stress and tensions. We assumed that it might be slightly contaminated with babies and children and a few idiots there. But we never got sick and only missed a few days. We trusted chlorine and people.

Well I could be wrong, but I hope that no one pees in a pool where other people swim, c'mon for anyone who uses the bathroom in the pool, use your head, all you have to do is get out, dry yourself and use the nearest restroom. People can be such idiots. This is why they actually have a harmless dye that can be put in pools so when some moron decides to take a piss in the pool it changes color and it's easily noticeable.

That's why I only pee in the Gulf.

Yes, its been a public nuisance for years but that is exactly why so much CHLORINE BLEACH or something just like it is dumped into the waters daily..... Just dont open your mouth or open your eyes under water.....
Here in Texas in certain areas swimmers were ejected from the public pools and banned for so long if they were caught peeing , spitting , blowing nose or any other bodily function in the public waters.... Lots of time the waters were so clear that it was obvious when someone was doing it or had done it....

Yep, it happens. Do you really need to ask?
It is also the same with lakes, rivers/streams, and the ocean... except there you also have fish and birds do all that and more.

There is no question about it. I prefer to swim in the ocean or a private pool!

I worked a public pool. I know it to be worse than just pee. So yep, when you see a baby ruth in the pool, minus peanuts chocolate caramel and nougat, you realize the pee isn't all that you may encounter. I am in no way supporting this at all. I do not know why people are ok with pissing on themselves and their friends, because that is what they are doing.

I have heard of people that like golden showers....LOL.
