Personally I never want anyone to throw me a surprise party, I think I’d pass out! I do, however, love going to them and seeing the look on the guest of honor’s face. And I love a really well planned out surprise party. Check out some of these seriously fun surprise parties on our site.

It's really nice that people would take the time to not only create a party for you, but work hard at keeping it a secret! That being said, they're only nice if they happen once-in-a-while.

I'm really in the middle.

It has been impossible for me to be surprised by a party for a long time. I'm too observant and notice things. Or hear things - my parents have a bad habit of thinking I can't hear them simply because they don't want me to.

Has anyone here seen the episode of MLP:FiM Party of One? The surprise party Pinkie's friends held for her made her think that her friends hated her because she invited them to a party the same day and they all said they couldn't make it. I would hate a surprise party.

i love the point of a suprise party :-)
to me it means that some one or ones's that care for you so much that they will put all there spare time and effort into getting a party prepared for you, and with out you knowing makes it so much harder !!

I've never had one and have always wanted one simply to have experienced one.

I've been apart of two of them and the recipient seemed to like them, so it sounds kind of fun.

Oh geez. I can only imagine how much I would flip out if someone sprung this on me with no notice or time to prepare myself for massive social overstimulation. On top of that, Murphy's Law says that I would most likely be in desperate need of a shower, a shave, a toothbrushing, a poop, and a good sleep...so I'd probably die from pure rage.

That's terrible...I know someone with it (in a somewhat different sense though), but I can only imagine how much less you want a surprise party than I do.

I have a hard time, and sometimes just don't want to communicate with people. So if I have to communicate with alot of people, I want to get ready. I don't want to be a crabby and non-social hostess.
