A recent study showed that Philadelphians buy the most sweat suits... more than any other city in the nation! A researcher involved in the study explained, "Maybe people wear sweats because they're more physically active and have more activities." Now that reasoning doesn't sound quite right to me. I'm guessing it's just more trendy to wear sweats in public there. What do you think? Do you wear sweats in public? Or do you save them for the confines of your own home?

I wear sweats all the time, since I'm predominantly at school or at someone's house. I'm not going to be out all day in jeans which I'm not comfortable in.

Unless you're a high school student, in college or taking a jog. It is completely unacceptable to be out and about in sweats - especially ones that brand your bottom with "juicy" or "pink" ..come on!

Yes

Occasionally, but usually just like in the morning if I have to drive my brother to school for my mom or something. Oh, and if I have extra martial arts practice later that day (we don't wear our uniforms for unofficial practices), I might wear some, but the ones I wear for that don't even look like sweats.

I don't like sweats; I think they look frumpy. I prefer jeans if I am going out, or a skirt or a dress, but definitely no sweats, not unless I am going to exercise or something.

I live in a Philadelphia suburb. I wear sweats almost all the time, except when I go to the Opera. Of course, I never go to the Opera I started because I did play a lot of sports and continued because they're convenient and comfortable. Also, I was 6'6" and had to pay through the nose for regular pants with a long enough inseam. It certainly isn't because it's "trendy." I seldom notice what others are wearing. For formal occasions I wear warmup pants with a satiny look.

Truth is, I'm required by law to wear plain front pants with no zipper, snaps, or buttons. I'm on the federal no fly list.

No but, occasionally I wear yoga pants. If I'm on my way to yoga. I wear sweats before bed and when I get up in the morning. Once in a while to a hockey game.
