Do you live in your worn-out Converse? This may reveal your age, income, sex and what kind of girlfriend or boyfriend you are, according to a new study. After reviewing photos of boots, flip-flops, lace-ups, loafers, sandals and sneakers -- the most common type of shoe submitted in the study -- people were best at figuring out a person's age, sex and income, the "Today" show reports.

"Age, gender, and income are usually pretty 'visible" characteristics [from shoes], so it's not surprising that observers picked up on them," study researcher Dr. Angela Bahns, an assistant professor of psychology at Wellesley College in Wellesley, Mass., told "Today."

But researchers were surprised that study participants could also guess whether a person had "attachment anxiety" based on his or her footwear, meaning, how worried a person is that his or her close relationships will abandon them. How can you tell if someone is a clingy girlfriend based on what kind of sneakers she is wearing? Shoe upkeep (or lack thereof) may reveal if you are laid back or more of the nervous type. Something to keep in mind next time you polish your shoes!

Are basically all I wear.

That's not really a exclamation of Nazism. It is a exclamation of patriotism. It means: "Hail victory". It would be similar to us Americans saying "These colors don't run."

Outside of work and the cold winters. I am normally wearing my flip flops. I am known for wearing one black and one white. I call then Ying and Yang. At work I wear black and white sneakers.

Well, it depends on where I'm going. In primary and secondary school, I had to wear white and black (respectively) sneakers as part of the uniform. When I worked at a bank, I wore dress flats. I'm also involved in sport. I played football (soccer- wore football boots/ tucks), hockey, cricket, volleyball, track and field so I wore sneakers. I also do karate, where I'm barefooted most of the time but wear sneakers whenever we have to run outside of the dojo.

The only time I wear heels is for special occasions. Otherwise, it's mostly sneakers or I'm barefooted.
