CA.NEWS.YAHOO.COM reports:
Organic produce and meat typically isn't any better for you than conventional varieties when it comes to vitamin and nutrient content, according to a new review of the evidence. But organic options may live up to their billing of lowering exposure to pesticide residue and antibiotic-resistant bacteria, researchers from Stanford University and the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System found.

The study only shows its the same in Vitamin and Nutrient content, it fails to mention the potential harm of certain chemicals and hormones contained in non-organic food, regardless, I prefer organic not because of possible health benefits but because of taste and composition and although it may cost more, I end up getting more for my money.

I have a friends who feeds her 10 month old nothing but organic food, and has since the day he was old enough to eat solid food. The last time I was there, I gave him a drink of my 2yo's juice - just plain old juice - and an hour later, the little guy threw up. Any time he eats anything other than organic, he is violently ill. There IS a difference.

Seeing as though "organic" doesn't really mean much, people should focus on buying locally grown produce from small-scale farmers because chances are you won't see heavy doses of chemicals needed for upkeep on large farms and long-distance transport.

In many cases, that is exactly where the organic food comes from.

But it is not exclusively where organic food comes from, nor does it always carry the "Organic" label. People should worry about WHERE there food comes from, not what it SAYS.

GMO is very dangerous. It has been linked to organ failure, infertility, cancer, alterations in gential development, hair growth in the mouths of test subjects, etc. Even those who make it at Monstanto dont eat it. Monstanto wont allow Monstanto food in their own cafeteria.

There is a notice in the cafeteria of the Monsanto pharmaceutical factory advising customers “as far as practicable, GM soya and maize (has been removed) from all food products served in our restaurant. We have taken the steps to ensure that you, the customer, can feel confident in the food we serve.” Monsanto confirms the authenticity of the notice.

When scientists at Monstanto were confronted about the infertility caused by their products in numerous tests, some laughed it off and responded by saying it would be a good thing for population control.

No it is not the same, Organic does not have all the chemicals that inorganic food has.
I was having the same problems that any normal American has and was taking all the drugs to counter those problems. I went to several doctors for my annual physicals and mentioned those problems with the same response time and again, take these pills and you will be OK.
I finally went to a homeopath doctor and he put me on a strict diet of all organic. That means no preservatives, no hormone, no chemicals. After 4 months on the diet I lost weight (obviously) and got rid of all my problems.
One tomato was tested and it was found to have 6 different pesticides, 4 different herbicides, growth enhancers, growth regulators, ripening agents, and coloring agents.
Just look at a label and check out all the forms of acid used to preserve your food, those acids destroy your stomachs bacteria levels which throws off your entire system.
    Organic is better, no doubt.

There are a couple things wrong with this question:
    1. Whether or not organic foods are healthier isn't a matter of opinion or agreeing/disagreeing and should be an observable fact, albeit one that can only be observed by doing a study.
    2. None or very few of us are educated in this field or have conducted said study and so nobody really can offer any more insight into this than their best guess.

Simply put, this question is like asking "Mathematicians have found that 1 1=2. Do you agree?" It either is or it isn't and what someone who doesn't understand the science thinks about it has no importance whatsoever.

Orangic is the orginal way we used to farm, then there reason they used pesticide,
but just now they push not to, and charge more. Its like leaded gas, they added lead to
it, then they came out with un-leaded gas, which should be cheaper because they don't add the lead, but they charge more.

In the 1970's I couldn't tell you of anyone that had cancer, today I directly know 7 people with cancer and 5 dead people from cancer. One in five in a family will die of cancer.
I have followed you on this site and you are just relishing in the idea of trashing anyone that goes organic. You have nothing to back up your claims and you don't even argue...you just insult. Could be all those chemicals you are eating.
People have the right to eat what they want and it is none of your business what they consume. So go back to your Cheetos and mind your own business unless you are willing to discuss the issues in a civilized manner. I'm not a hippie but I will say that most hippies look healthier than others.

You are absolutely correct, I will caution you that certain soils are deficient in certain minerals and can cause problems with ones health. During the civil war there was a section of Missouri where men were weaker than other areas of the country and were rejected. It was found that their soils were deficient in certain minerals and therefor created health problems.
But when you take those conditions and add chemicals to them than the problems become even worse.
I test my soils on a regular basis and add where I am deficient with organic materials.

I work for researchers...researchers need money to do research....if a foundation or company gives us money, we have to abide by their rules. If our findings aren't what they would like to hear they can easily dispute it and not publish it! or publish something stupid like this article.

People are being misled and it takes a certain amount of time and willingless to learn about the system and how it works. Also critical thinking which we don't exercise much in American society. That is why people are so confused and believe everything the president, congress, religious leaders, scientist or researchers say without questioning!

My parents always told me to question authority, they were right. America has become blighted with lies and deception. Ever Since they created the freedom of speech in the media things have gone down hill. It was actually a freedom to lie with zero consequences and no accountability. The only thing that keeps the lies on the table are the promoters that back the money.
