Are you a dog lover? Or do you prefer to cuddle with a kitty cat? If you picked pooches, we have good news for you: owning a dog may be good for your health.

In a study at University of California, San Francisco, researchers found that house dust from homes with dogs helped protect against a common cold strain, the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV.) And now scientists are saying this could apply to kids, too, ABC News reports.
RSV can be severe and even fatal in premature and chronically ill infants, and it is associated with increased risk of developing asthma, ABC reports. The new study adds credence to the theory that exposure to animals early in life helps "train" the immune system, and prevent kids from getting asthma. Having a dog has also been linked to better cardiovascular health, reduced anxiety and loneliness and other health benefits. So ... do you prefer dogs? Or cats?

I`m sure the animals in a shelter were in need of proper care so they would smell etc.
If you care for your dog properly you will have no problems.
Eventually we'll all find out on a singular basis whether our beliefs were factually true.
And pay the consequences for them. One way or another.
Get over yourself and lets hope that some day someone will save us all from christianity.
That is simply the most riduculous comment ever.
Cats are the only domesticated animal that can survive on its own in the wild. That is more intelligent than any other domestic animal alive today.
Simply because they are not the type to be dominated and be seduced by a carrot on a stick has nothing to do with intelligence.
Apparently you are looking for a slave and not a companion.
I have huge issues with trying to keep my cats off of me. They greet me at the door every day when I get home. They sit on my desk when I am working, they sit on my keyboard when I work at my computer, one is around my neck, one is on my lap and on is on the chair beside me. The same thing happens when I watch tv and we all sleep together with the dogs on the same bed at night.
You should also go and read the comments from the other cat owners here. They are all saying the exact same thing. Cats demand affections and attention and give it back.
