Are you a dog lover? Or do you prefer to cuddle with a kitty cat? If you picked pooches, we have good news for you: owning a dog may be good for your health.

In a study at University of California, San Francisco, researchers found that house dust from homes with dogs helped protect against a common cold strain, the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV.) And now scientists are saying this could apply to kids, too, ABC News reports.
RSV can be severe and even fatal in premature and chronically ill infants, and it is associated with increased risk of developing asthma, ABC reports. The new study adds credence to the theory that exposure to animals early in life helps "train" the immune system, and prevent kids from getting asthma. Having a dog has also been linked to better cardiovascular health, reduced anxiety and loneliness and other health benefits. So ... do you prefer dogs? Or cats?

Cat thinks man gives me a place to live, feeds me and looks after me. I must be a god.
My married co-workers both agreed that as soon as their first children were born the wife changed "like flicking a light switch." They were no longer just wives they were MOTHERS!
That hormonal driven instinct is probably why you will see female cats or dogs adopting young of the other species some times.
I also think that cats are good for someone's health because they, too, can be very affectionate and loveable.
I have a french bulldog who lives indoors and he is none of the above; the most personable and loving nature of any animal I have ever owned.
Dogs are loud, oafish, smelly, messy, and need too much attention.
