Strange...two pigeons are coming into my apt from the balcony for about one week now...cooing...bringing twigs sometimes... just hanging around...what is going on?

FOR THOSE INTERESTED THE ANSWER TO MY QUESTION...IT HAPPEN TODAY..

WHILE I WAS ON MY COMPUTER BOTH PIGEONS CAME IN OUR APT... ONE SIT ON THE RUG WHERE WE FIX A PLACE FOR HER...THE OTHER PIGEON STARTED TO BRING HER TWIGS...
SHE WOULD PLACE THE TWIGS AROUND HER.... WE LEFT THE APT FOR ABOUT ONE HOUR OR SO...ON OUR RETURN...GUESS WHAT? YOU GOT IT... EGG IN THE NEST SHE PREPARED.... SO WE WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT...

YAHOO.... WE MAY BE GRANDPARENTS.... bark

Strange they leave late afternoon...mom is on the nest now....never had anything like this.... in our home in southern poland...we have doves that nest outside in a tree
near a second floor window...we watch them raise couple of young doves each
year...but this...awesome...bark

Update: last night she stay on the nest...normally she leaves for the night..
not now.... guess she feels safe...and know we love her and her eggs too...

I am thinking they do not like you.. and they are planning on burning down your place... so they are bringing in fuel to ignite later.

OR:

They also might think you are the second coming of crist - - and they are building you a crown out of twigs.

OR:

They work for the maintenance department, and are fixing holes in the building for the maintenance supervisor.

They maybe thinking of nesting there. I do know they are dirty animals and will make your balcony filthy with droppings if you don't get rid of them.

You can get rid of them by placing a large replica of an owl or other predators, such as plastic snake or black crow on the balcony to keep them away.
