In a video posted on Facebook this past Sunday, a St. Louis woman is seen yelling at children and instigating violence, saying things like, “Got some action! Got some action! Y’all better ball up some fists!” A source who knows the woman who posted the video told St. Louis TV station KTVI that the mother needed to be stopped. Do you think social services should get involved?

HUFFINGTONPOST.COM reports:
Child welfare officials may soon investigate a St. Louis woman because of a video where she instigates a fistfight between two diaper-clad kids.

These children are still in diapers. This woman needs to be checked out by social services. The "source" who knows the woman may know other things she is doing that is harmful to those children.

If there's more than that, maybe, but this could be fettering out a long-term issue. Me and my brother fought quite a bit and we're closer because of it. We need to stop coddling our kids and telling them the world is great instead of preparing them for it. There's no telling from our end what type of neighborhood they live in or if they will ever have the need to know how to fight. Is this seemingly wrong? Sure. I still don't think it warrants removing the children from their own mother though, CPS workers are too quick to do that because they have quotas too and their funding depends on how much work they do that can tracked by figures, and not by families saved, but rather by families broken apart and foster homes found for removed children. CPS is just as bad as some of the REAL terrible parents that are endangering their children. It's not like they are getting damaged this way, it's toddlers fighting, happens more than you think. We have no idea what kind of lesson she taught them after the video either, there's no logical reason to be presumptuous in what goes in other people's households and there is no clear and present danger I see

I don't know. I didn't watch the video. It might be a good idea to talk to the mom about this behavior, especially since she thought it was appropriate to post online. What is this about, making a fight club outta your kids? If my kids want to battle then I will somewhat let them and may say some snotty thing being sarcastic, but i would not be proud of acting childish, admit it does happen though. But this seems weird. Unfortunately anyone can have babies, and usually morons have better fertility than smart people. High dolers also have increased fertility.

My mom always said, whatever one sibling did the other gets to do back. Ha ha! We decided not a good idea to pick on each other and it works with her grandkids too! The get all big eyes and think twice about if they want to kick, bite or hit. Just the idea that the other has permission to get even is scary enough. Luckily, my kids are mostly all mouth.

Some times kids must know how to never give in. learning in a family envirmont shows the mother has a smat way of allow the kids to love her. The importance is she communicates with her children with out the annoying echo when they have no more energy to fight each other. it also helps them from be able to beat her up.

What's so bad about it? It's not like they're really hurting each other. It's a small concern without more information. Are you OK with CPS taking the children and putting them in a foster home where fights are going to break out more often, there's not unconditional love and no telling if the kids will even be kept together? Siblings fight, it's a fact of nature and they generally grow out of it

Encouraging this type of behavior is not OK. Did you even watch the video? they where beating the living tar out of each other, while the mother says in the background, you better hit her harder? Are you flipping brain dead? Yes, I am OK with CPS taking a child from a parent that is unfit. I was in foster care myself from the time I was 12 till 18, so I know what it is like. I belonged to the positive options foster agency in Sacramento, CA. Look it up.

Further more, when my kids used to fight I punished them, because I do not want them to think that is acceptable behavior when they become adults. I do not want my children to be little hoodlums. I want them to be law abiding citizens. They are 10 and 11 now, and they are not only very well behaved, but they are honor roll students at their school. So, no I do not understand how anyone can possibly think that allowing two little baby girls to beat each others ass is beneficial. Unless you want them to be bullies, or be in trouble at school all the time.

Our Dad taught my brother and I how to box at a VERY young age. Yes, we did wear boxing gloves, and yes, he did coach us. When we would bicker and argue like idiots, Dad would make us get on our gloves and "settle it between ourselves". Neither of us ever got seriously injured. The benefits? NOBODY ever tried to harass us more than once, we never had self confidence issues, and we learned that we needed to settle our own problems - Mom or Dad were not going to do it for us. AND, NOBODY here KNOWS this woman, or exactly what led up to this, or why the person who posted it did so. YOU go ahead and "fight to stop youth suicide", I'll advocate "every kid needs to know self defense" instead. Better your parent(s) teach you than not knowing how to.

Perhaps I could have been a little less presumptuous about your own experience, it sounds at least like you focus on the positive aspects, so that may be where I got the basis for that thought. The kids sure don't look happy, I'll agree. My whole thing was that there is not enough evidence to really say one way or the other, though. If it does happen often, I would say there is a high likelihood that psychological damage could occur, but if it was a singular experience that she used as a teachable moment then it may work out best, not even just good, sometimes a child (or even adult) does better by first-hand experience rather than being told. There's nothing here to say that anyone outside the home should have a strong opinion, regardless of their employment/professional background, and I concern with the abilities of some CPS offices just as much as I do unfit parents.
