2 of these for the rear ~ Mirage Nanosat Prestige
2 of these for the front ~ Mirage oS3, a larger version of the rears
Center Chanel is Mirage oS3-CC
Dual Subs ~ Mirage omni s10 10inch 400watt
The receiver is ok. It's a little harder to use and adjust than I would like, especially since you pretty much have to use the GUI in the TV to get to the menus. I think there is a way to do it on the receiver itself, but you have to push so many buttons in the correct order I haven't really tried. I also don't think you can do it on the fly like I did with my last one.
The speakers are fantastic. They are omni directional so you can place them anywhere and you don't lose imaging at all. If you have an odd shaped room these are the ticket. They don't deliver much base so you pretty much have to have at least one sub. My receiver is set up to do duals so I figured what the heck. I had the cash so I got them. The Prestige are a bit smaller than a large tomato can and the oS-3's are a bit larger than a 5lb bag of flour. The center is about 15in X 4in X 4in. This speaker set up replaced my old Cerwin Vega's which were floor standing. Two 15" models (Vs-150), Two 12" models (Rs-120) and the HTTC-CC center channel, along with a 10"/100watt JBL sub. The Mirage out perform the CV/JBL combo in every way. Far more accurate, and like I said, you can put them anywhere. They will sound a little "bright" at first, which honestly, I don't really mind as long as it isn't the old Sound design brand (K-Mart) bright, but they have a break in period of 100 hours. As you get further into the break in period they warm up about 400% and then you can crank them up. I've been able to get them loud enough to where they were too loud but I haven't been able to overpower them. And I like it LOOOUUUUUD!!!!!. I have less money in these than I did with the CV/JBL system and I bought those 15 years ago. The biggest thing is these are also good at lower volumes. I had to really crank the old ones for them to
sound right.
