I promised myself I would never vote on, or answer, another one of your polls as you have blocked me 5-7 times now; I lost count. This one prompted me to break that vow.

Anyway, I forgive everyone that has ever done me wrong and I extend the same to you. Because of the past, I am not putting you on my "Friends" list again but I have nothing against you personally. I just hate thinking I am getting involved in a conversation and then BAM...I am blocked. That is frustrating beyond words honestly.

I will continue to keep my distance until I feel you are over your blocking addiction. I hope things go well for you.

Sister, there are people out here in the ether of the Internet that think their relative anonymity allows them to say or do anything. That kind of mindset is what has ruined us. We've lost the grace of manners and the consideration of others in what is labeled as "assertiveness" but which is in reality nothing more than raw aggression. Do not take what others say to heart. We are all entitled to our own opinions and if someone disagrees, that is their right as well, no matter how wrongheaded, evil or misguided they might be. Pray for them, feel pity for them, but never, never, never believe that they know the truth.

That just proves their ignorance. Even many Catholics are unaware at the years of reflection, prayer, duty and study that members of religious orders make before taking Solemn Vows. Cradle Catholics are often the most ignorant about their own faith, sadly, and that really does need to change. But here's what I think as well, my grandmother was unchurched-although she had been baptized as a Methodist. Before marrying my mother, a particularly mean-spirited old priest told my Dad that his mother-the same woman who gave away food when they had so little and who mended clothes for the poor and who took in animals that were injured and brought them back to health-was going to hell because she wasn' t a member of a church. I just don't believe a benevolent God would punish any person who lives out their life in love to the best of their ability. And I don't think the Pope would do that either. Please put that nonsense out of your mind.

Good heavens! What tripe! You are in good company with several other outspoken nuns, and your voices blow a refreshing wind through organized religion.

In my few months being a Sodaheader, I've come to know you, as well as it was possible in the bloggosphere. You are the real thing, and in your 40 years of teaching, you have made a difference to those you taught. I missed you in the past few days, as I look for your postings daily. Glad you are back, Sis. Sis, we all get upset when someone is a unkind or weird or says repulsive things about others. I've taken many breaks from this place.
