No. The Vatican, the Kaaba, and the Wailing Wall are all going to be moved to the Plain of Cydonia on Mars. ;-)

Highly unlikely. The Vatican is considered an independent country, whereas Jerusalem belongs to Israel.

This is interesting... an argument between Liberals.

I'm going to go pop some corn.
Gotta see how this plays out. :O)

No argument involved. We Liberals tend to discuss issues in a civil and rational fashion, and don't believe that the only way to "win" an argument is to insult the person we're talking to.

We have totally different experiences of civility, I guess.

Liberal "arguments" are characterized by skewed statistics, shouting others down, arguments ad hominem and the looting of big-box appliance stores.

A Conservative, OTOH, will conduct a discourse-- focusing on the free exchange of ideas and experiences, over a respectful glass of ginger ale and a selection of fresh, seasonal fruits.

I guess our experiences are different. You and I seem to manage to have civil conversations, but you seem to be in the minority of conservatives on this site. In my experience questions like "do you have a source for that information" tend to get either a "go look it up for yourself if you don't believe me" response or a block. I on the other hand try to post links when I post statistics, or at least will say "according to a New York Times story..." In the unusual case where they do provide purported sources, they are simply repetitions of the same thing. For instance, the Daily Caller posted an idiotic story about the President refusing to eat with the Republicans because he didn't have a "food taster" with him. Of course, the President doesn't HAVE a food taster except on some foreign trips, but that aside, I asked the poster for some substantiation and received two links - BOTH of which were virtually word for word repetitions of the Daily Caller story and both of which REFERENCED the Daily Caller story as their source.

I have found that there are SOME conservatives on this site that I look forward to talking with, and some I consider to be friends. I also find that when its any subject OTHER THAN politics conservatives and liberals are pretty much indistinguishable. I'm a Liberal yet I know that my New York Mets suck. I know several conservatives who completely agree with me that the Mets suck LOL.

Why? The relationship between Israel and the Catholic Church has never been a particularly friendly one.

What's the Pope going to do with all the Jews and Muslims already there? Slaughter them like Popes have done for centuries?
