Sometimes. It probably will be again after the election.

Sometimes seems great; the others like I said not respond should be educative type and someone may know than we learn from the others. Like for example ant goes by smell, why all deferent and why it’s everywhere in the world.

SH is a fee-wheeling forum where any and all views are expressed by all sorts of people. I love it as a great example of the free exchange of ideas. It's often quite messy; that is one of the earmarks of freedom. I love it!

Seems to have its fair share of political and religious nuts pushing some agenda or other.
But what the hell thats what it all about letting off steam and having some fun as long as you don't take it all to seriously and keep a sense of humor.

Some of that does go on amid all the meaningless space waste.

It all depends upon the subject matter.

It was once, especially before the leaderboard, and more recent foul mouth, attacking morons who should be thrown off SodaHead.

I think that's the purpose, but not everyone is lucky enough to have intelligent opinions or possess enough self control to have civil debate, including myself in some areas.

I got here after the Leaderboard was in action. I've never paid any attention to where I'm at with points or levels. Just here for fun and I've learned so much from the smart people with some class. It's just a cross section of society and you have to pick and choose the people you want to interact with.

It just depends. I have had some decent debates and at other times had people resort to name calling and the like.

It used to be. Not anymore. The points, leaderboard and Facebook crossover has ruined SH as a place for serious and respectful discussions.

I agree with you. Not only has SodaHead allowed an influx of 15 year olds, some who cannot even spell, curse too much, have no interest in debate, they added that leaderboard which has become a desperate race. We now have duplicate questions, some of little sense with many only answering a YES or NO to questions just for raves. Very few on Facebook are interested in SodaHead questions. Facebook does have many very boring members also. SodaHead staff need to limit amount of questions per member. Staff also need to remove questions still on from years ago. They have also become more lax in handling legitimate complaints. SodaHead is still a great site, very versatile, but changes need to be made.

Depends on what is being debated I guess, I really don't think the political section is, unless name calling is part of good debating.

It seems to be getting to be nothing but hate and attacks. Not debate seems to be going on very often from what I have seen lately. I see this as coming from both or all political side. I see more from the left but I bet it is was middle to left leaning I might be seeing more from the right.

Every week I think about asking to have my account deleted or deactivated.

If you do not like someone's comment or question there is a way to solve it. Just do not answer it.
If you do not like the questions from a certain person just block them.....big deal.
I personally get bored with the questions about some star or starlet.

I used to have great debates with my fellow SH'ers. But lately the republican mind washing machine has made them to vile to communicate with. It's really a shame because I miss the good conversations and learning about other peoples point of view and ideas. But SH isn't really about that anymore. It’s about putting vile pictures in posts and calling people names. Even if someone proves their point with an article, people can't even agree to disagree anymore.
