So I updated"not a smoker" so I'm at that point in life to stop. " Change your mind, change your life".

Any help ? I believe I have enjoyed just about most things a person can get high on, but nothing ever held if it became not fun. But smoking ( portably most dangers) I can't kick.
You!

It isn't easy, but if you REALLY want to quit, you've won half the battle. In a couple of days, the nicotine is out of your system, so the problem is the habit itself. Think of the times when you light up and alter the behavior. If you wake up and ie in bed smoking the first cigarette of the day, don't lie there, get right up and do something else. If you smoke after a meal, get up and clear the dishes from the table and wash them. The idea is to distract yourself from the habits you created. Good luck. I've done it, so I know you can, too.

21 days to brake a habit. No I love to smoke, I just don't want to regret it later.
I will be victories, and a smoke to celebrate would be perfect! Just joking. :-/

maybe 21 days to break the habits, but it takes a bit longer than that to stop the cravings. You just have to keep telling yourself you're doing something really good for yourself and take one day at a time. :)

Honestly, I think the easiest way to quit smoking is to occupy your mind with other things while you're still beating the physical addiction. After that, it's just a simple behavior pattern that begins to take shape in about 18 days.

You might get the urge after a drink or a meal, but just push that gently out of your mind and do the dishes or walk the dog or log on to Sodahead. Concentrating on your desire and frustration only makes the process so much harder. It all becomes much easier without your input.

There's a lot of snake oil being sold to quit smoking. I sincerely believe in my heart that over 90% of all "quit smoking" products on the market - including prescriptions - are junk. You have to make the choice to stop and stop. For me, smoking was associated with two things - working overnight and long hours in college. Once those two things disappeared from my life, so did smoking.

It's tough to kick cigarettes; it's very addicting. Have you seen a doctor to help you kick the habit if you really want to quit?

Nicotine patches/spray/gum? I've been lucky as I have never developed the addiction to nicotine despite smoking for 6 years, but I hear they work.

If you can do it cold turkey, then that's probably the best way of doing it.

I tried the plastic one that the end lights red when you inhale, no smoke so it didn't work for
Me. The one with the water vapor smoke, I would think mentally would work best
But at $300 smacks I would rather get my lips glued. I'm saving $7 aday and is going
Into a new toy fund 4Me.
