- Silas 2009/12/22 15:34:42Even monks have the right to kick, push, and coast! The monks have never been against enjoying life (Buddhists Monks that is) only earthly temptations including sex, gluttony, alcohol and drugs. Monks are free to enjoy any physical activity like jogging, exercise and especially martial arts. Harmony with nature and the body through physical activity is a cherished thing for a monk. If anyone has ever watched a skater or a surfer you have to admit they have a kind of grace and harmony few have the ability to enjoy.reply

- lydiairis 2009/12/21 22:01:24Even monks have the right to kick, push, and coast!Actually some Monks do quite few fun things in their free time. A few family friends go to a buddhist monastary every year. I believe they play soccer, and have theological debates, along with meditation and such with the monks there. Good people, been trying to convince them to take me for years.reply
