    Our last legislature did ban texting and all but hands free cell phone use in our state. I was 100% for the texting ban, mixed feelings about the phone use ban but since I use Bluetooth it shouldn't really affect me. I have come to hate phones anyway.

    Banned in this part of the world and this is Africa. Cant figure out why all of the USA does not do the same.
    People still do it, the bigger and more expensive the car the more often it occurs, guess hands free devices are beyond the budget.

    It's illegal in NJ, where I live, and people still do it anyway. Might as well just make it legal, I think, seeing as how people do it anyway. Not that I agree with it--'cos I really don't--and I don't do it, either, it's just that the law seems to encourage people to do it more often. Most people don't care about the law, I've noticed.

    They have hands free devices that are a lot safer, they may still be distracted but at least they'd have their hands on the wheel.

    Many places in America already do ban such dangerous activity, as they should. Safety should come before happy when it comes to others well being.

    I guess cell phone use while driving is a world event, I see it here too, drives me crazy, I refuse to ride with anyone that uses phone while driving.
