I know this because I don't need a translator to read, speak, or know Spanish; it's very old hat to me. However, to address a nun by name in Spanish, hermana is not correct if it's by direct address. It is "Sor". i.e. "Sor Maria De La Cruz"

Yes. Google translate sucks. As I noted before, it was simply in reference to the number 1 SH being spanish speaking and the sister being number 2. No harm. No foul. Nothing personal toward either.

Oh, I didn't think so. The translators don't include variances in language due to area, country, and culture because it will be different.
