My sincere condolences to poor Debs on the loss of her loving, loyal companion, Rosie.
As a life long lover and keeper of dogs I well know how devastating it can be. All I can really say is what the vet who put my last dog, Ben, to sleep, said to me to comfort me:
"remember the good times"
Thank you lizzy..this was kind of Bf, I have just come back from taking bendog in the car,,poor puppa didnt know where to sit, he's not used to having the back seat to himself x
Yes B is very thoughtful. Hope you`re all feeling better soon. Did Rosie have her own blanket or a special toy ?, maybe if you put something of hers in the car next to puppa it will be a comfort to him. Rosie had a good Life with you all, she must have been very happy to have such a loving family. So you have lovely memories of her which i`m sure will be a comfort.. XX
She did, but they went with her.as she was in the chapel of rest over night,I couldn't bare her to be without something comforting...Bendog will be ok in time, especially as he is getting Love and hugs for two..thank you Lizzy x
Thank you Blindfaith for your thoughts,it is very much appreciated,,as Rosie was 16yrs, blind and deaf, she needed a great deal of care and steering in the right direction..I'm a bit lost without that routine..but I know she is now out of pain..x
Aww Im sorry Bucc, it is heart wrenching isn't it..I was hoping and praying Rosie would go naturally, but it wasnt to be, hell of a decision.I wouldn't wish it on anyone :(
I do indeed,I had to make the decision there and then or I would have faltered, just prolonging her discomfort for my own benefit, which would only have made any guilt worse in the end
This is a lovely thought, thank you matey..Bendog her friend is pining, so lots of attention is required and rides in the car..he is 14 so he too is an old puppa x
