hmm, this is a good question.Well if the person that is a chronic liar told you that .They most of had trust you.Which means you know them pretty well. So sometimes you can tell when they are lieing.Or just ask the person how am i suppose to trust you? .
A liar is a liar. I have a brother who is one and I always knew never to believe anything coming out of his mouth. Whether he said he was a liar or not made no difference. Later actions always confirmed.
I actually have to deal with a pathological liar daily. She likes to start the drama between me and my babysitter, but she seems to forget that I can check all of her stories when I pick up my kids at night.
lol Is it sad that I had to really think about this question? Yes if hes a chronic liar, and he admits it then that's basically the only thing that you can believe. Because I would take that as a warning.
To some extent, chronic liars are not ones to admit that they are lying, they would argue and argue with you trying to convince you that they are not lying even if you outright catch them in a obvious lie that can be proven to them, they'll keep changing the story and just lying more.
If they suddenly admit that they are a chronic liar and that they can't stop lying, then it might be because they want to change, and therefore there is a better chance of them telling the truth.

so sad.
