Maybe it has something to do with Hillary Clinton, but all of a sudden, skirts are back "in" for working women.
According to a new study at the U.K.’s University of Hertfordshire, skirts at work "give a better first impression" than pants, the "Today" show reports.
In the study, 300 males and females ages 14-67 were asked to make three-second judgments of women in skirts and pantsuits made in the same fabric and color. They rated the women on confidence, success, trustworthiness, salary and flexibility.
The skirts had a major leg up on the competition.
"Women generally have a wider choice of dress style for work than men but still have to maintain an identity that balances professionalism with attractiveness, and the skirt suit may achieve that balance without appearing provocative," wrote professor Karen Pine, who co-led the study.
Our read on the study is kind of cynical: It's not enough to be great at your job -- women are still expected to be feminine and attractive.
Even Hillary Clinton -- our Secretary of State -- is ruthlessly locked for her colorful pantsuits.
Then again, those suits are kind of silly. And not very flattering.

And, someone please tell the republicans, if they show up wearing red, white and blue it does NOT make them appear more patriotic. It looks more like their mother dressed them.
And Huntsman, I don't know who told you to wear a yellow tie because it gives off the impression of being warm and powerful. It's so 90's and so ugly. If you insist, please tone down the color and pair it with a black suit.
(My reply is directed at this sexist question and obvious demeaning reference to Hillary.)
And Hillary wears those pantsuits because she does not have the legs for skirts. She's gotten older and she's got stout ol' calves and ankles.
so your saying these women look like lesbians?
..... I know, it's a Plot against us animals < s >
better to do?.
P.S.What happened to the"Other"answer option?.My answer is"Other".There should be no rule demanding women to wear skirts or pants to work.Same goes for the men!.LOL.
As for Hilliary she always dresses pefect for what ever occasion she is involved in. Her type of trend setting way surpasses any dress wear, what she encourages for women is "Brain wear",it will get you noticed no matter what you are wearing.

Or bathing suits or Nomex, or whatever is appropriate for the job. Whatever they wear, many of them will make it look awesome.
