SHOULD WOMEN TAKE PART IN COMBAT DURING TIMES OF WAR? According to your religious beliefs – is that prohibited?
Military roles open to women vary around the world. In certain countries, women are allowed to serve in the military in roles of combat – Canada, Israel, Germany, U.S., and more.
Some believe that women should not serve in equal combat roles as men due to physical considerations. Others feel that as long as women can demonstrate that they can perform the same tasks as a male physically and mentally, then they should be allowed to do so.
I was particularly interested in knowing if some religions prohibit women to serve in combat – but couldn’t find much in my google search. I don’t believe there are any restrictions in Christianity, Judaism, Scientology. According to this article, it appears that male or female, a Jehovah’s Witness cannot join the armed forces. http://thejehovahswitnesses.org/things-jehovahs-witnesses-can...
