Too many student loans are not being paid back. Often those getting student loans are not serious about getting a good education; college campuses become a hang out place to party, drink, take drugs. Many courses are flunked, or useless courses Wasteful Govt Student loans

Wasteful Govt Student loans hurt tax payers

are taken. Taxpayers are being ripped off.

And cut ALL our lawmakers perks, bennies and pensions.... make thenm pay into Social Security like everyone else

Make our lawmakers PAY FOR THEIR OWN HEALTH CARE.

I could probably think of a lot of other things given the time!

Hey, if We're all tightening our belt financially, then discounted student loans should be part of the total revision on cutting back. Absolutely the fourth answer is Not the answer, " everyone deserves a free college education "............give me a break, sheesh........

Majority student loans are never even paid back. Many students waste their time going to colleges, or not capable. Idiot courses were added that were never part of getting a degree.

I believe in the student loan programs, but there is far too much abuse and fraud being played out with taxpayer's money. It needs to be policed up some.

Govt. student loans should not be handed out so easily. There should be requirements as graduating with excellent high school grades. Low income should not be the only factor. Application process should be more selective, far less loans granted. Right now the U.S. has massive student debts from college loans, never paid back.
