Ebay just updated its list of items banned from sale on the site and among partially-used cosmetics and prayers, potions and spells were outlawed.

TECCA.COM reports:
You may think you can buy anything on eBay, and if you're looking for a life-sized bigfoot statue, or an entire European village, the site can certainly cater to your needs.

Seriously though. If you are stupid enough to buy a potion or spell from anyone, let alone eBay, you DESERVE to be conned.

It's not illegal, so you should be able to buy them online. Just like if you want partially used cosmetics, for whatever reason. That's your choice.

Just buy water from your local homeopath. You don't want some darn lollypop with measles to arrive at your door.

I think if you want to ban it, you'd have to prove that they work and/or are harmful. Maybe just require an ingredients list and put an age restriction on it if those ingredients are hazardous.

If someone is stupid enough to purchase it, then why not! I would waste my money on anything of the sort, but if it won't harm the stupid, go right ahead and sell it.

You can actually sell spells and potions on eBay? Well heck, I have one an older woman told me to use to enchant a man and I swear it worked.

If you can buy rosaries and Bibles on eBay, spells and potions should be able to be sold too. Witchcraft is a legitimate religion.

Spells and potions aren't evil. They are tools to help witches, Wiccans and others celebrate and worship the way they want.

People are already a mess and abuse the power they have now. If potions and spells (that actually worked) were sold, it'd be chaos.

If there's a market for it, why not? You can't just ban something on the grounds that people are stupid. They don't need eBay to sell this stuff online, so it's not like they're really preventing anything.

Sure! If people are stupid enough to buy them.. Also, as soon as the first one didn't work, and that would be the first one sold, the seller would go out of business when he got sued.
