But if your gonna smoke, at least put some perfume or cologne on, wash your hands, and have a breath mint after you've finished your cig, because you guys stink! I hate it when you smokers come into my classroom and stink it all up! It seriously smells worse than the sweaty guy who comes to class and never wears deodorant!

I don't smoke but I don't see how banning it would help anything. Is this to try to get young people to stop smoking? Because in reality, if it was banned, people would just walk off campus or drive down to the gas station.

Smoking is legal, and yet smokers are dang near considered criminals in so many places. College is stressful, and a lot of students smoke to deal with it. I'm not passing judgement on whether it's right or wrong. But it's not illegal, so get off their backs. If campuses would like to designate certain areas as non-smoking, fine. But until smoking is illegal--and I think it will be eventually--let the smokers be. They are contributing valuable tax dollars to the economy.

Sure it would be ideal to stop smoking on college grounds, and beneficial to the students but they should offer a designated place for those who do smoke. It helps calm them down and helps them function properly while dealing with stress, the pressures of school, future and possibly relationship issues, etc.
Smoking isn't great but college should be there to provide education purposes only, to help students advance in their futures, not stop them from smoking.

I don't smoke, but that shouldn't mean my preference should affect them. But at the same time I hate smoke, so maybe make designated non-smoking areas.
