It seems like every day, a new story breaks about one of Ryan Gosling's hidden talents: knitting, ballet dancing, life saving, the list goes on. You name it, he's good at it.
It's also pretty common knowledge that Gosling was a member of The Mickey Mouse Club in his youth, and that he sings in the indie band Dead Man's Bones when he's not acting, but it was revealed this week that the heartthrob was almost a founding member of the Backstreet Boys.
Apparently, Gosling and Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean lived in the same apartment building in the early days of the boy band, and McLean asked Gosling to join. In a press interview for "Gangster Squad," Gosling explained that he declined because he thought they were a rip-off of New Kids on the Block, and he never thought they'd make it big.
McLean confirmed Gosling's claim to TMZ, and said that later when the Backstreet Boys became huge, Ryan called A.J., presumably to see if he could jump onboard, but McLean never returned his call. Ouch.
It all turned out alright for Ryan Gosling in the end though, as we all can see, but what do you think? Should Ryan Gosling have joined the Backstreet Boys when he had the chance?

So this is basically the idea:
Pretty much (as far back as when I was a kid) almost all the talent is culled and vetted and then proceeds into 'talent school/work' before the age of 8.
Seriously.
It might be changing now but 'Mickey Mouse Club' and Disney and some place in Toronto and all of these already 'Establish' our 'future stars'.
Britney or Timberlake or I dunno... basically just make a list of the current 100 pop stars, hot actors and boy bands.
Almost ALL of them either know each other or worked together and came up through the same ranks and agents and deals since about age 8.
